AUDITION PIECE 1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edmund (admiring a painting of a ship)
Look at this ship. Magnificent! Running before a fast wind, heading off to adventure and glory, I’ll be bound. Not like being stuck here for the holidays. In this dreadful house. With our dreadful uncle and our even more dreadful aunt. And that entirely dreadful cousin, Eustace. Eustace Clarence Scrubbs. What a name! It suits him perfectly. It’s dreadful and mean… and… annoying!

AUDITION PIECE 2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucy (talking with Edmund about Narnia)
Oh, I miss Narnia so much... Aslan most of all. The question is, does it make things worse, having to look at a Narnian ship when you can’t do anything about it, or is even just looking at it better than doing nothing at all. (pause) What was it we were told? “Don’t try to get back to Narnia, it'll happen when you least expect it.”

AUDITION PIECE 3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eustace (making fun of his cousins)
“Some kids who played games about Narnia Got gradually crazier and crazier Then one fine day, they were taken away And locked up in the looney-bin.” How about that then? Ready to go? Because I am sick and tired of your stories of Narnia. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah…

AUDITION PIECE 4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Caspian (explaining why they are on this adventure)
I was an orphan child when my wicked Uncle Miraz stole the throne from me. He sent seven of my father’s friends to explore the Eastern Seas beyond the Lone Islands. They have yet to return and I promised to find them, wherever they may be. It’s my duty as king to find them.
