LAMDA or the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding organisations, offering examinations in communications and the performing arts for over 130 years.

These exams are designed to help members develop the skills necessary to communicate dramatic text to an audience, including interpretative skills, technical skills and knowledge of the performance process. All these skills enable members to grow in vocal and physical confidence, increase their self-expression and learn to work creatively with others.

The LAMDA qualifications are globally recognised and respected by schools and universities. For upper secondary school students, passing the Level 3 Examinations are well recognised and can be counted towards the UCAS point system when applying to universities in the UK.

At Faust, we are able to offer comprehensive LAMDA workshops for children ages 6 to 18. Our LAMDA workshops will provide training in communications and dramatic performance through monologues, empowering students to deliver confident and engaging individual performances in small groups of 6 students maximum.

Performance Exams We will introduce more LAMDA examinations on Communication, Musical Theatre and Performance very soon!

LAMDA qualifications add prestige and credibility to a student’s portfolio. The experience itself prepares student to be confident, self-reliant and skilful communicators with skills that can be transferred to other fields beyond theatre and performance.

Starting from February 23rd, we will offer small-group LAMDA workshops (in groups divided by exam grades) for members aged 6 to 18 to prepare them for LAMDA’s speech and drama exams.

All workshops will run at the Faust Studio, Sheung Wan (and run online if necessary).
