Our Summer Theatre groups are open to children with or without drama experience with fluent English ability. We have the following age groups on offer:
Ages 4 – 5:
Children are introduced to the actor’s instrument (the voice, the body and the imagination). Through a range of games and activities children explore their imagination and use this as a basis for drama.
Ages 6 – 8:
During the workshop’s children develop their drama skills and explore different aspects of the wonderful world of theatre. Through various games and activities children will start to explore what is needed to put on a play, as well as the different roles ad responsibilities.
Ages 8 – 11:
This age group will develop the skills needed to be a successful performer, as well as exploring different inspirations for plays. Children may devise their own play or use a literature as inspiration for performance.
Ages 11 – 14:
During the workshop children will explore more complex drama techniques and theories and use scripts and other stimuli to perform.
