Over the last 10 years Faust has been an active member of society, helping and assisting with a wide range of community and charity based projects. As Faust entered its tenth year we celebrated the occasion by agreeing on 10 projects, organisations or events to support the community and charities of Hong Kong with a particular focus on the young of Hong Kong and China. In particular, Faust's Commitment to the Community aims 'to support and promote creativity and performing arts for the young people of Hong Kong and China'.
As we enter Season 11, our pledge to the community remains as strong and as active as possible as we start to look for projects and programmes that we can help contribute to in the upcoming academic year (2009-2010). We will keep you informed of the different events we have planned and would also like to hear from you in terms of suggested activities/organisations or events.
As a brief introduction to our Commitment to the Community programme below is a list of what we achieved in Season 10 (2008 – 2009)
Faust's Season 10 Achievements in the Community
- Hosted a Faust Charity Fundraiser on Saturday November 8th 2008
- Supported a birthday scheme for sick or under-privileged children
- Conducted a present collection during Christmas 2008
- Distributed tickets for A Little Princess to Hong Kong based charities and organisations
- Hosted a birthday gala performance of Lord of the Flies
- Appointed a charity of choice for The Faust Festival 2009
- Assisted in Fundraising day
- Hosted fundraising drama workshops
- Instigated a Writing for the Community project
- Participated in additional fundraising events
