Matthew Gregory, Director of Faust and Group Leader

Matthew Gregory, Director of Faust and Group Leader
Matthew founded Faust in 1999, and since then has brought many works to the stage. Matthew’s directing credits include the musical hit Around the World in 80 Days; the international smash hit Peter Pan which is now touring Asia; the sell-out hit Oliver!; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; Marvin the Monkey Drummer and the Pot of Truth; Imperfect Speakers; The Sword in the Stone; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; Der Struwwelpeter, The Royal Hunt of the Sun and Tall Iced Low Fat Mocha Frapuccino, No Whip!.  As producer he has recently worked on William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, The Shadow Box, Robin Hood, The Glass Menagerie and The Dresser. 'Enthusiastic and boyish,' one journalist has written of Matthew, 'he gives the impression that the relaxing concept of slow-but-sure is definitely an alien one. One gathers that such speed is part of his success.'

Keon Woong Lee, Staff Co-ordinator and Group Leader Keon Woong Lee, Staff Co-ordinator and Group Leader
Keon Woong Lee is a graduate from the University of Hong Kong, majoring in English and Comparative literature. During the past five years with Faust, Keon wrote and directed several well received plays including Jabberwocky, Anansi, The Tabloid Truth, Life Under the Big Top! and Kip Marlowe. He also performed in Identity Crisis, a series of one-act plays (ACT, 2003), Beyond the Horizon (Theater Impromptu, 2002) and most recently in Ten 3, a festival of 10 minute plays (HK Players, 2006). He also had his poems published in Yuan Yang HKU’s Literary Journal. His most recent accomplishments include directing Faust’s sell-out productions of A Christmas Carol and Matilda as well as being Production Manager for The Happy Prince. He is also a Creative Writing teacher for Faust and enjoys teaching students the nuts and bolts of telling stories.
Alexa Massingham, Programme Co-ordinator and Group Leader

Alexa Massingham, Programme Co-ordinator and Group Leader
Alexa Massingham is a drama graduate of the University of Hull where she studied all aspects of drama with a particular focus on Shakespeare and drama therapy. She started her performing career in Hong Kong and has been an active member of the drama community. She has performed in a wide selection of roles, speech festivals and achieved her Certificate in Acting from Guildhall. Alexa has taught drama for a number of years before moving to Thailand where she was involved in drama teaching within the local school system. Alexa enjoys acting and has a particular love for Shakespeare. She has been involved in all aspects of a production ranging from directing to costume design to make up.
