LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! A FUNRDRAISER FOR TRUE CHILDREN'S HOME
We are proud to announce that we raised a combined total of HK$10,000 for True Children's Home during our two fundraisers. Further information of the events below.
SATURDAY 8TH NOVEMBER,
2.00PM - 5.00PM,
ISLAND SCHOOL, 20 BORRETT ROAD, MID-LEVELS.
We would like to sincerely thank all who attended the fundraiser. It was a great afternoon and you all helped and contributed greatly to the children at True Childrens Home. There was a tremendous total of $6000 raised, which will go a long way in helping these children and giving them medical care. There was also a great collection of supplies which we will be delivering to True Childrens Home at the end of November.
Everyone worked really hard throughout the afternoon and created fantastic performances. They had limited time and a big challange on their hands and it was wonderful to see everyone working so well together with great creativity and imagination!

FUNDRAISER UPDATE
After the successful fundraiser in October, your kind donations have now gone to a great cause. True Children's Home contacted Faust in January to inform us about Xin Qian, a baby boy who was suffering from a harelip and cleft palate, with the intention of using the money raised by you to fund his surgery. In early February Xin Qian underwent a successful surgery and is now doing well. We would like to again thank all of those who attended the fundraiser, as without your help this child would continue to have numerous difficulties affecting his growth and development.

TUESDAY 18TH - WEDNESDAY 19TH NOVEMBER,
BEACON HILL SCHOOL.
Faust had a great two days doing drama with the P6 and P5 students of Beacon Hill School. Each class spent one lesson outside of the classroom and in the dramastudio to do two great things - learn more about drama and more importantly raise money for True Children's Home! Each class donated money to attend the dramaworkshop and all proceeds went towards the charity and they raised fantastic grand total of $4000 which will go a long way in helping the children at the home.
We would like to thank all the students and staff of Beacon Hill School for their generousity and the opportunity to come and work with the P6 and P5 students. They all did superb work within the workshops and showed great creativty and enthusiasim!
A thank you to all who attended from the Fundraising Manager of True Children's Home, Hong Kong:
On behalf of everyone at True Children's Home I would like to sincerely thank the students and parents of Faust and the Faust team for taking the time to attend such a wonderful and worthwhile event. It was truly touching to observe the children being motivated by the plight of these orphans and putting on performances which were both entertaining and compassionate. The amount raised and goods donated will certainly go a long way to helping the children and will be put to very good use.
Thanks again for your generous support. Together we can make a difference - one child at a time.
Best Wishes,
Marie Murphy

CHINA VISIT

After a very successful fundraiser and collection back in October for the True Children's Home, we travelled up to China to visit the home and handover your generous collection. It was a very humbling experience to see all the children and meet the dedicated people that look after the children and keep True Children's Home running.
The day started off with a trip to the park to meet some of the foster children who have now had their surgery and are being looked after by local women, before being adopted. We also celebrated a little girl's first birthday and you can hardly tell now but she previously had a severe harelip and now is being look after by a devoted foster mum awaiting adoption.
After spending a lovely morning in the park with the children, we then went onto the True Children's Home which is the initial home for pre and post surgery. Many of the children we met there are still awaiting funding for their surgery, whether it be a simple harelip procedure or complicated heart surgery. The girl in the photograph, who recieved the money on behalf of True Children's Home, is now two years old and still waiting to have surgery on her heart.
It was very emotional experience to see all these children with such severe medical problems but truly inspiring to see the love and care they recieve from True Children's Home and the hope the organisation gives to these children.
True Children's Home is a wonderful charity, making such a change in so many of these children's lives and thanks to the money raised by you, we will be able to help these children get closer to the medical care they need to live a better life.
